Break or Breakdown
Everyone is busy these days (somethings never change), but it’s when you’re at your busiest that you’re in most need of a break. If you don’t have time for a break, how will you have time for a breakdown?
Let me break it down for you
You can’t run a car engine for an unlimited amount of time.
It will run out of fuel, it will burn up all its oil, it will overheat.
Any of these problems can be avoided if you pull over to the side of the road, pause at rest areas, and stop at gas stations to refuel, monitor gauges, and check fluids.
The same rules apply to your mind and body.
You’ll run out of fuel if you don’t take lunch breaks, you’ll burnout if you burn the midnight oil too many nights in a row, and you’ll blow a gasket if you don’t get enough rest.
Just as motorized engines need to rest and be cared for in order to continue operating at peak performance, so does your body and your brain.
