Finding Inspiration
Having a bad day (bad week? bad month?) and it’s resulted in you feeling demotivated and uninspired? Here are a few quick directions for finding your inspiration the next time it wanders off without you.
Get Rid of the Bad Mood
A bad attitude will chase away ideas, creativity, and inspiration faster than anything else. Put on your favorite playlist and dance around your house singing at the top of your lungs. Have a pet? Take time for a play session with Rover or Tabby. Giving and receiving affection from our furry friends can make all the difference in the world. Even if you have fish take some time out devote some attention to them. It’s a proven medical fact that looking at a fish tank can lower your blood pressure and act as a sort of meditation.
Get Outside
Fresh air and physical activity will get your heart pumping, and increasing your blood circulation. A little more Vitamin D from the sun and dosing yourself with a little brisk outdoor exercise can turn a mood right around. Walk around the block, bike through the park, or go mow your lawn. Allow your mind to drift on auto-pilot as you do some mild exercises and you’ll be amazed at how inspired you’ll feel.
Get On With It
Feeling down occasionally is part of being a human. It happens from time to time, but you know the weariness you feel with wear-off soon enough and you’ll be back to your old self in no time.
It’s easier to find the light at the end of the tunnel when you believe it’s there.
