Have You Ever Sausage A Thing?
They say there are two things a person never wants to see being made: Laws and Sausage. But, I was thinking this morning (during breakfast time, of course!) that coming up with a great idea is a lot like making sausage.
Grind it out
The best way to think-up a good idea is to think-up a bunch of ideas!
Spice it up
Add flavor by building on the ideas by asking great questions about the solution you’re seeking.
Encase the concept
Combine all the individual pieces of your idea and blend it into a singular overarching concept that makes it easy to understand (and easy to pitch!)
Link and Twist
When you present your ideas to other project shareholder, link the new concept to other ideas that your audience can understand and relate to, but add your unique twist. The more wild and “out there” that your idea is, the more important is it to use simile and metaphor to help others understand (and buy in to) your concept.
