No Trophy
There isn’t a trophy for sleeping in.
There’s not a gold-gilded statuette awaiting those who wait.
Those who avoid risk don’t get a plaque hanging in the hallway of a building commemorated in their name.
The complainers don’t get certificates (that’s one more thing for them to complain about!)
But isn’t that what they wanted?
To hang-back and not be noticed? To find the path through life that didn’t require them to ever raise their hand or speak in front of the room?
Those who maintain the status quo don’t get status and don’t get quoted.
