Stop Debating, Start Building
When you have idea for a better thing (or a better way to do a thing) don’t get caught in the trap of debating the old/existing version of the product or process. Just start building it.
The people who like the old way (or at least simply feel comfortable with it) will never be won over to your side or become fans of the change you want to implement. You’re wasting time and energy trying to convince them, when you could be investing your time and energy on constructing your new way and bringing your vision into reality.
Start Building
Sketch, sculpt, or scrape together a prototype that you can use as a model for introducing your new vision to people who are interested in a new ways to improve the process or product you’re working on. Don’t waste your time sharing it with the status-quo thinkers and clock-punchers.
The people interested in your idea are going to be owners, bosses, leaders. The ones interested in reducing time spent on old ways of doing things. The ones interested in growing profits through innovation and improvements.
Be a Builder.
