That One Thing
Remember that one thing you said you were going to do — and then didn’t?
Whatever happened to it?
- Did you scribble it in a journal and hide it away somewhere?
- Did you feel guilty about abandoning the concept and push it far from your mind?
- Do you still think about it every so often and then let it drift away once more?
- Perhaps you even began work on the project and quit before you finished.
Rather than deprive the world of something as special as that one thing, why not pass it along to someone else?
You could let that one thing wither and die from neglect, or you could let it take root in the mind of someone with more time to devote to developing it.
Give someone else the chance to adopt and care for your idea. Allow them to raise it as their very own and nurture it into being. They may not develop it exactly as you would have (if you’d had the time to do it properly), but at least when you think back on that one thing and go to revisit it you will see it has grown and evolved into something real.
But it all started with that one thing.
That one thing which sparked an idea in your mind and you helped to bring into being — even if it was just to match it with the right person to bring it into reality.
